The Pico Automotive Diagnostic Kit can be used to measure and test virtually all of the electrical and electronic components and circuits in the modern vehicle including:
- Ignition (primary & secondary)
- Injectors & fuel pumps
- Starter & charging circuits
- ABS sensors. Crank & cam sensors
- Lambda, Airflow, knock & MAP sensors
- Glow plugs / timer relays
- Relative compression tests
The kit is ideal for a wide range of users including, OEMs, franchised and non franchised garages, breakdown / roadside recovery organisations and mobile tuning/repair services. This powerful and flexible kit has been designed for ease of use so is equally suitable for both novice and expert users.
The Diagnostics Kit is based around the successful ADC-212/3 PC-based oscilloscope and includes a powerful software and information package. The kit turns your laptop or desktop PC into a powerful automotive diagnostic tool for fault finding the increasing number of sensors, actuators and electronic circuits found on todays vehicles.

MI077 600A AC/DC Current Clamp
The MI077 is a 600A current clamp, ideal for use with the ADC-212 for displaying starter current waveforms, charging currents and for performing relative compression tests.
|
TA009 60A DC Current Clamp
The TA009 is a 10mA to 60A current clamp, ideal for use with the ADC-212 for measuring the current drawn by smaller devices, such as fuel injectors & fuel pumps.
|
TA010 20:1 attenuator
The TA010 has been designed to safely measure high voltage inductive signals such as fuel injector and primary ignition waveforms.
|
Acupuncture probes
First and foremost the TA008 is a back pinning probe. In fact, its the smallest diameter back pinning probe that we know of. This is essential for probing today's small, fragile connector. It is also very sharp, so it slides past connector seals with ease. This product solves most of the
problems associated with traditional back-pinning methods.
Secondly, the TA008 is a piercing probe. It's small diameter, extra sharp pin makes it ideal for piercing the insulation on small gauge wires where traditional piercing tools might cause damage.

Piercing Clips
The TA007 Insulation Piercing Test Clip set is ideally suited for automotive test and diagnosis. The piercing clips allow the user to provide the exact pressure needed to pierce the insulation of a wide range of wire types and sizes. The clips also feature a rotating banana jack that prevents the test lead from twisting and keeps the oscilloscope in the circuit while the wire is pierced, providing immediate confirmation that contact with the conductor has been made

Clips and probes
A wide range of clips, gators and probes are included which plug into the TA000 test lead. Follow the link below for full details and example applications.
|
TA000 Automotive Test Lead
The TA000 test lead has been custom made for automotive use with the ADC-212. Its long length (3 meters / approx 10 ft)allows the oscilloscope to be placed on the work bench away from the car being tested / repaired. A wide range of probes, clips and gators can be plugged into the 4mm connectors at the end of the cable.(see below).
The cable is fully screened to reduce noise pickup. To prevent cables getting tangled, the two wires leading to the 4mm connectors are of different lengths, the short negative lead is intended for easy connection to a convient ground point (eg the battery), the much longer positive lead allows easy access around the engine bay.
|
MI074 Secondary Ignition Pickup
The MI074 is a capacitive secondary ignition pickup which simply connects around the insulation of an ignition circuit component such as a plug wire, this avoids the need for direct connection to these high voltage signals.
The MI074 comes with a shielded 2.5m (100 inch) lead. It is suitable for use with conventional ignition systems and most HEI and DIS systems. Our library of Automotive Waveforms contains example waveforms captured using a ADC-212 and the MI074

TA012 2-pin Automotive Break out lead
The TA012 break out lead allows for easy connection to many of the sensors and actuators around the engine bay. The break out lead is simply connected into the existing cable loom, the output signal can then be taken from the two 4mm banana plugs into the ADC-212 using the TA000.
As well as measuring voltage signals, the unique design also allows current to be measured with a current clamp. This makes it possible to simultaneously view both the current waveform and voltage waveform of components such as fuel injectors.

MI075 Cigar lighter power lead
In the workshop the ADC-212 is normally powered using the supplied mains adaptor. If however you want to use the ADC-212 on the move with a laptop, this handy lead allows you to power the ADC-212 from the cars cigar lighter socket
The curled lead, when extended is over 3 meters in length so also allows the ADC-212 to be used under the bonnet whilst taking power from the vehicle under test.
