CAN Test Box

can test box

Continuing with our mission to make vehicle diagnostics easier and faster…the new CAN Test Box gives you easy access to the 16 pins of the diagnostic connector that is fitted to all modern vehicles. Depending on the configuration of the vehicle, this may allow you to check power, ground and CAN Bus signal quality. With the test leads supplied you can connect your PicoScope lab scope to the CAN Test Box to monitor signals such as the CAN High and Low. More.....

200 A/ 2000A Current Clamp with PicoBNC [TA388]

The TA388 specifications match our popular TA167 200A/2000A clamp but fitted with a PicoBNC interface. The clamp can be auto-configured by PicoScope software when connected to the scope. Ranging is carried out automatically with no user switching required. The clamp is powered via the scope and therefore does not require any batteries. Additionally, the clamp is auto-zeroed whenever connected to the scope.

TA234 30 A (low amps) Current Clamp

The TA234 probe is a 30 A current clamp. The extended measuring jaws allow measurement in a confined space. When measuring DC, a simple thumbwheel on the probe allows zero adjustment.
This current clamp is ideally suited for use with PicoScope oscilloscopes and features additional screening to reduce noise pickup. READ MORE...

60 A  AC/DC Current Clamp (PP218)

current clamp

The PP218 is a 10 mA to 60 A current clamp, ideal for use with a Pico automotive oscilloscope for measuring the current drawn by smaller devices, such as fuel injectors and fuel pumps.

Note: the PP218 low amp probe is supplied with shrouded 4 mm (banana) plug type connectors so can not be plugged directly to a PicoScope oscilloscope. We recommend the use of the TA000 or TA020 automotive test lead to connect the current clamp to the oscilloscope. Alternatively, a PP264 60 A  current clamp with BNC connector is available.

60 A  AC/DC Current Clamp - TA018 (PP264)

PP264 current clamp

This low amp probe is an improved version of the PP218 - 60 amp current clamp and features superior noise rejection.

The PP264 current clamp is ideal for use with PicoScope automotive oscilloscopes for measuring currents between 10 mA and 60 A. This enables the PicoScope to display current waveforms for fuel injectors and fuel pumps.

The current clamp has two calibration settings, set by a slider switch on the handle of the probe.

  1. 1 mV/10 mA (100 mV = 1 A)
    — use this for testing currents up to 20A.
  2. 1 mV/100 mA (10 mV = 1 A)
    — use this for testing current up to 60A.

In use there is no need to break into the circuit or disturb the isolation as the opening jaws simply clamp around the current carrying conductor. No electrical contact is required.

These current clamps have been designed for use with PicoScope oscilloscopes and feature additional screening to reduce noise pickup. Noise floor is around 10 mA.
