Shock Transportation Data Logger MSR175

The two 3-axis acceleration sensors integrated in the MSR175 have working ranges of ±15 g and ±100 g. They record shocks and jolts at a measurement frequency of up to 5,000 measurements per second. The installed memory of the logger is capable of storing over 2 million measured values, which is sufficient for more than 1,000 shocks. In addition, the MSR175 data logger measures and records temperature profiles from -20° to 65 °C. Additionally, a second type variant of this data logger is available with internal humidity, pressure and light sensors.

Priced at under $500 USD.

   MSR Whitepaper

We have just posted a well written publication dealing with most aspects related to acceleration measurement as it pertains to the MSR Series of Acceleration data loggers.

Well worth taking the time to read this.

MSR PC Software

MSR Logo

Evaluation of the data recorded by any MSR Data Logger is carried out using the MSR PC software. The software is supplied with each new Data Logger. The software package comprises the following programs:

Program Function
MSR Setup From a PC, Setup is used to select the modules for which the MSR is required to save measurement parameters. Users can enter a measurement frequency for each module, modify sensor and module names and set the behaviour of the MSR's memory.
MSR Reader With the Reader users can selectively transfer data records logged with the MSR to a PC. The transfer process does not delete any measurement records saved on the MSR.
MSR Online Online allows users to view the progression of the measurement parameters directly on-screen and save the logged values on a PC.
MSR Viewer Records created in Reader or Online may be viewed and edited on a PC with the Viewer The measurement parameters may be displayed either in graph or in table form

System Requirements:

  • Windows XP, Win 7 (32 or 64 bit), Win 8 & Windows 10 (32 and 64 bit)
  • Serial or USB port
