General Product Information
The 485LPCOR is a port-powered unit that converts the TD and RD RS-232 lines to balanced half-duplex, two-wire RS-485 signals. B&B's Send Data Control circuit automatically enables the RS-485 driver when data is present on the RS-232 side. The unit is powered from the RS-232 data and handshake lines whether the lines are high or low. Control of the RS-485 driver is automatic at baud rates up to 115.2kbps baud.
An external power supply can be connected to two pins on the RS-485 connector if no handshake lines are available. The RS-232 side has a DB25 female connector and the RS-485 side has a DB25 male connector.
