Usually the easiest way to capture the signal you require is using a dedicated breakout lead or box.

The comprehensive toolkit includes 19 distinct sets of universal breakout leads, each comprising four leads, along with a dedicated set of back-pinning probes. This diverse array of components is designed to enhance your connectivity and measurement capabilities.

Breakdown of the components:

  1. Flat Blade Connectors: There are 14 sets featuring flat blade connectors available in a variety of sizes, specifically: 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm, 0.84 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.3 mm, 2.8 mm, 4.8 mm, 6.0 mm, 8.0 mm, and 8.3 mm.

  2. Round Pins: Four sets come equipped with round pins, sized at 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.5 mm, and 4.0 mm, ensuring compatibility with a range of connectors.

  3. Square Pins: There is also one set that contains square pins, sized at 0.63 mm.

  4. The kit features right-angle back-pinning probes with a hard tip measuring 0.7 mm in outer diameter, complemented by a 300 mm extension lead. This design enhances your ability to establish reliable connections, even in challenging environments.

Each breakout lead is color-coded to align with the standard PicoScope channel inputs—blue, red, green, or yellow—facilitating easy identification and organization of connections.

The compact design of the leads’ connectors allows for effortless maneuverability in tight spaces, even when terminals are closely positioned. Despite their small size, the connectors maintain a sufficient level of rigidity, ensuring precise alignment during connection.

For enhanced convenience, the individual breakout leads can clip together to form a single block. This feature not only simplifies handling but also helps keep your workspace organized when multiple leads are connected to adjacent terminals.

Breakout leads are typically utilized for measuring voltage across circuits. They can also extend portions of a circuit to provide improved access for other measurement tools, such as current clamps. In instances where a connector is difficult to reach—especially when disassembly of other components is required—the included right-angle back-pinning probes offer a practical alternative.

Important Note: Individual sets of test leads are not sold separately, ensuring that you have a complete toolkit for your measurement needs.
