PicoScope Current Probes & Clamps
Clamp-on current probes or “current clamps” enable you to measure currents without breaking the electrical circuit. Current clamps are designed with jaws that can be opened, placed around the conductor and clamped shut to form a magnetic loop around the conductor.
Current clamps offer a safe, cost-effective, simple and accurate way to take current measurements.
Our range of current clamps can be used with PicoScope Oscilloscopes and PicoLog Data Loggers, as well all major brands of oscilloscopes and multimeters.

The TA167 is a dual-range current probe capable of measuring AC and DC current signals up to 2000 A.
TA138
200 A AC current clamp (4 mm)
The TA138 is a current clamp for AC-only current measurements. Its single range is capable of measurements from 0.1 A to 200 A. Ideally suited for use with the PicoLog CM3. Fitted with 4 mm (banana) plug type connectors.
PP218
60 A AC/DC current probe, 4 mm (banana) plug connector
The PP218 [TA009] current probe can measure currents from 10 mA up to 60 A with a switch selectable high and low range. When measuring DC current, a simple push button is included for zero adjustment.
This current probe is equipped with 4 mm connectors compatible with multimeters. For plugging into an oscilloscope we suggest using an MI078 BNC to 4 mm adaptor.
PP264
60 A AC/DC current probe, BNC connector
The PP264 [TA018] current probe can measure currents from 10 mA up to 60 A with a switch-selectable high and low range. A simple pushbutton is included for zero adjustment when measuring DC current.
MI077
600 A AC/DC current probe, 4 mm (banana) plug type connector
The MI077 current clamp can measure AC and DC currents up to 600 amps. Features:
Two current ranges controlled by selector switch
Low–battery indicator
Zero offset button
4 mm (banana) plug type connectors
This current probe is for use with instruments that have 4 mm input connectors. With the addition of an MI078 BNC to 4 mm adaptor it is possible to plug directly into a BNC input.
TA019
600 A AC/DC current probe, BNC connector
The TA019 current clamp can measure AC and DC currents up to 600 amps. Features:
Two current ranges controlled by selector switch
Low–battery indicator
Zero offset button
BNC type connectors
Screened lead for noise suppression
TA189
30 A AC/DC precision current probe, BNC connector
The TA189 30 A high-precision current probe is for applications requiring non-intrusive current measurement, using closed-loop Hall effect technology to measure both AC and DC current with high stability over long periods of time. Ideal for current leakage monitoring, battery discharge testing, or used in conjunction with an active differential voltage probe such as TA041, it can be used for power quality analysis.
TA325
30/300/3000 A AC 3-phase flex current probe, BNC connector
The TA325 is a 3-phase AC current probe utilizing the Rogowski coil principle, used to measure AC current up to 3000 A when used with oscilloscopes, recorders or data loggers. The flexible probe allows current measurements on hard-to-reach conductors.
Rogowski coil technology has a couple of advantages over CT (current transformer) technology: when measuring multiple phases, the phase difference is small and predictable for higher frequency harmonic analysis applications; also, Rogowski coils do not have magnetic materials to saturate and so have excellent linearity.
The probes provide a 3 V full-scale AC output proportional to the current being measured with three selectable ranges: 30 A, 300 A and 3000 A.
When using the TA325 with a PicoScope 4444 differential scope, ensure that you purchase three TA271 D9-BNC adaptors. These can be found under the Accessories tab on this page.
TA326
30/300/3000 A AC flex current probe, BNC connector
The TA326 is an AC current probe utilizing the Rogowski coil principle, used to measure AC current up to 3000 A when used with oscilloscopes, recorders or data loggers.
If the TA326 is intended for use with a PicoScope 4444 differential scope, ensure that you also purchase a TA271 D9-BNC adaptor. This can be found under the Accessories tab on this page.
