If you are having trouble viewing images from a webcam, you may need to update the webcam to a specific firmware version. You can download these for the appropriate camera below.
This is the general process involved in updating the firmware on your webcam. You may need to consult the manual for specific directions.
- Download the webcam firmware.
- Use a web browser to login to the webcam.
- Goto the Configuration page
- There should be a section or tab for updating the firmware on this page.
- Enter the filename for the firmware you downloaded in step 1.
- Click the "Update" button to start the update.
Caution: Wireless webcams need to be connected via ethernet cable to your network during update. They could be damaged otherwise.
