A signal generator is an invaluable piece of test equipment. The output from a signal generator is a repeating waveform whose characteristics are set by the user. Signal generators can be used for research and development purposes, along with the servicing and repair of electronic equipment.
Various PicoScope PC Oscilloscopes include an integrated signal generator. The signal generator is controlled using the PicoScope software.
The following PicoScope oscilloscopes include either a signal generator or the more sophisticated arbitrary waveform generator:
- PicoScope 2202, 2203 and 2204
- These feature an arbitrary waveform generator that can generate standard waveforms from a library of stored waveforms. You can also define your own waveforms.
PicoScope 3204- Fixed-frequency 1 kHz, 5 V square wave.
PicoScope 3205 and 3206- 100 Hz to 1 MHz sine, square or triangle waveform which can be swept back and forth in frequency.
PicoScope 5203 and 5204- These feature an arbitrary waveform generator that can generate standard waveforms from a library of stored waveforms. You can also define your own waveforms.
PicoScope 6402 and 6403- These feature an arbitrary waveform generator that can generate standard waveforms from a library of stored waveforms. You can also define your own waveforms.
The following PicoScope oscilloscopes include a signal generator:
- PicoScope 2203,4 and 5
- PicoScope 3204,5 and 6
- PicoScope 5000 Series
- PicoScope 6000 Series
