The kits are supplied with PicoScope Automotive software. This feature-rich software is capable of capturing even the most complex of waveforms, yet the intuitive controls and comprehensive reference library ensures it is both quick and easy to use. PicoScope Automotive software is free – there are no licence fees or annual subscriptions – and updates can always be downloaded for free too.

The four-channel automotive kits use the latest and most advanced PicoScope lab scope – the PicoScope 4423 Automotive Oscilloscope.
The PicoScope 4423 can capture signals four times faster than any other PicoScope automotive scope – this makes it compatible with the emerging FlexRay standard and ensures your automotive kit will continue to be useful for many years to come.
As well as capturing faster signals, the PicoScope 4423 also outperforms other scopes thanks to the 32 MB of ‘always on’ memory. With 64 times the memory of the previous generation of scopes, the PicoScope 4423 ensures that you can effortlessly capture every detail of the signal. Never again will you miss those hard-to-find intermittent faults.

The two-channel automotive kits are the affordable alternative for users who only want to measure one or two signals at a time and do not require all of the advanced features that are available in the four-channel kit.
Two-channel kits use the PicoScope 4223 automotive oscilloscope. The PicoScope 4223 can be used to measure CAN bus and the new FlexRay standard signals. The maximum voltage is limited to 50 volts so if you need to measure high-voltage signals you will need to use an attenuator to reduce the voltage to a manageable level.
The two-channel kits can be used on any vehicle, however to make it easier for you we have made a Motorcycle Diagnostics Kit that includes the PicoScope Automotive for Motorcycle software. (If you purchase a motorcycle kit you can still download and use the standard PicoScope Automotive software.)
